Lifeguard Timeline
Register online to secure your spot in our lifeguard course. Choose the date that fits your schedule and you’ll receive instructions for the next steps.
Step 1 - Register
Before attending in-person training, you’ll complete the required online coursework at your own pace. This portion covers essential knowledge and must be finished before class.
Step 2 - Online Portion
During class, you’ll learn critical water rescue skills, first aid, and CPR through hands-on practice. We'll guide you through real-world scenarios to build confidence.
Step 4 - Training
With experience you can take the next step by becoming an instructor. This allows you to teach courses and help train the next generation of lifesavers.
Step 6 - Move Up
Complete the required pre-course swim test to ensure you meet the physical standards needed to safely perform lifeguard duties.
Step 3 - Swim Test
Once certified, you’ll be qualified to apply for lifeguard positions at aquatic facilities. It's a rewarding job that builds responsibility and leadership.
Step 5 - Get Hired
Lifeguards need to renew every two years to stay compliant. Recertification courses refresh your skills and and ensure you’re prepared.
